Himadri Kishore Dasgupta is a rising writer. He was born in Kanchrapara, West Bengal. He completed his education from the University of Calcutta.
His stories and novels include adventure, science-fiction, historical and other genres. Some of his famous writings are ‘Bisher Chhobol’, 'Ekoda Ek Pansalate', 'Baaje go beena', 'Kaalo ghuri', 'Chandrabhagar chaand' and others.
One of his exemplary works in modern Bengali literature is ‘Firingi Thogi’, which was first published in 2015. It is a collection of fictional stories which earned Dasgupta unprecedented fame among readers. He has been honored with the 'West Bengal Government Academy Award (Shishu Kishore Academy).
